CMS now requires a call-in system in every ED treatment area for every patient.
September 10, 2025
Beginning July 1, 2025, CMS requires that each emergency services treatment area must have a call-in system for every patient (42 CFR § 482.55(c)(iii)). For many hospitals, this creates a compliance gap in hallway beds, overflow rooms, and converted care spaces that don’t have traditional nurse call coverage. See § 482.55 Condition of participation: Emergency services.
Our team at Contingency Health Solutions has developed a nurse-designed call solution built specifically to close this gap:
Meets CMS Emergency Services Conditions of Participation
Requires no integration with existing systems
Minimal IT and inventory lift — fast to deploy, easy to maintain
Designed for EDs, overflow spaces, and temporary care areas
This is a simple, safe way to ensure every patient has a voice — and that your hospital is survey-ready.
Give us 20 minutes. That’s all it takes for us to show you an affordable, turnkey solution that keeps your hospital compliant, safe, and survey-ready with minimal IT and inventory lift.
